‘Masaba’ the label by Masaba Gupta was launched in July 2009, with a Diploma in ‘apparel manufacture and design’ at SNDT Women’s University.
‘Masaba’ is a diffusion line catering to women from the age group of 25-50 years. The silhouettes are no fuss, simple and commercially viable, yet of high cut and fashion.The brand focuses on being artistically commercial, offering the Indian consumer Indian fusion wear that is edgy yet rooted to its culture at affordable prices. The colors are vibrant with patchwork playing a predominant role in most of the collection.
The USP of the brand is it’s fierce and bold, yet traditionally rooted ensembles. The mixed and matched colors and prints, functional saree drapes and tucks changed into high fashion on the ramp.
